Job Title: Lead Instructor in Early Childhood Education

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced instructor to lead our Early Childhood Education program. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about teaching and mentoring students in the field of early childhood education.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering theory instruction and practical coursework to students enrolled in the Early Childhood Diploma program. The instructor will also be required to prepare lessons, assignments, and assessments according to an approved curriculum and Indigenous community context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction to students in the Early Childhood Diploma program
  • Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, and assessments that meet the needs of students
  • Provide individualized support to students to help them develop their potential
  • Meet with students to discuss and provide feedback on their work
  • Monitor and review student progress during practicum placements
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the needs of all students

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary credentials in Early Childhood Education – minimum ECE III
  • Adult teaching credentials and/or experience in a teaching or training capacity in adult education
  • Several years of experience working in early learning and childcare settings
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated understanding of Indigenous culture within Indigenous Adult Learning environments
  • Relevant industry skills and knowledge relating to the area of instruction, including ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
  • Experience working with adult learners (18+ years and older)
