About the Opportunity

The J.W. McConnell Foundation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Associate to support the smooth functioning of our funding processes. This role will play a key liaison role between the Programs Team and other Foundation teams, ensuring that our funding processes are optimized and our applicants are supported.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date funding management tracking tools and make suggestions for improvement
  • Ensure prompt and effective analysis of proposals, including following up with Program Team members on files they lead to avoid delays
  • Liaise with the Operations Department and collaborate closely with the Funding Team to ensure the funding management database is up to date
  • Coordinate payments and communicate with applicants and partners throughout the application process
  • Support the preparation of acceptance and declination letters and other correspondence with partners
  • Make suggestions and contribute to improvements in funding management processes
Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with online databases (Fluxx is an asset)
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks across various timelines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Functional bilingualism with excellent oral and written skills in either English or French
