Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist to join our team in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at BC Children's Hospital. As a Psychologist in this role, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive psychological services to critically ill patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients and families
  • Conduct comprehensive psychodiagnostic assessments and provide psychotherapeutic interventions
  • Collaborate with the inter-disciplinary team to coordinate care and develop treatment plans
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in child clinical psychology or a related field
  • Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia
  • Experience working with critically ill children and their families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
