Psychologist, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist to join our team in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at BC Children's Hospital. As a Psychologist in this role, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive psychological services to critically ill patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients and families, including cognitive, educational, and social/emotional evaluations and psychotherapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with the PICU team to coordinate care and provide support to patients and families.
- Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for program planning and evaluation.
- Supervise and provide evaluations for Psychology Residents and other trainees.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to maintain currency in the scientific literature and application of scientific evidence to clinical decision making.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in child clinical and/or developmental psychology, pediatric neuropsychology, or a closely related area.
- Current registration by the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia, or eligibility for registration.
- Recent related experience in women's and/or children, adolescent, psychodiagnostic, clinical and/or health care environment.
