About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Caster - Concrete Products Specialist to join our team at Dreamcast Design & Production. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating machinery and equipment to cut, shape, and finish concrete products to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery and equipment to cut, shape, and finish concrete products, including blade or wire saws, single-function machines, and vibrating tables.
  • Set up and adjust machinery and equipment to meet specific product requirements.
  • Record manufacturing information, including quantity, size, and type of goods produced.
  • Check products for quality control to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Perform tasks such as building and repairing wooden frames, positioning reinforcing rods, and filling moulds with concrete.
  • Operate machines to drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications.
  • Finish stone products with spray paint and by mounting plaques or installing concrete bases.
  • Tamp concrete using electric vibrators.
  • Remove castings from moulds.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work site environment: Noisy and dusty.
  • Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer, but willing to relocate.
  • Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's license and public transportation available.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and standing for extended periods.
  • Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
  • Personal suitability: Team player.
  • Health benefits: Dental plan and health care plan.
  • Work Term: Temporary.

  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
