Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Peel Logistics Inc. as a key member of our transportation operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining a fleet of heavy vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operations: Operate and maintain a variety of heavy vehicles, including straight and articulated trucks, to transport goods and materials across various routes.
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with dispatch teams to plan and execute transportation routes, ensuring optimal delivery times and minimizing delays.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, and perform routine maintenance tasks as required.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods, and responding to customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Compliance and Safety: Maintain a valid AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and Class 1/1F/A Licence, and adhere to all relevant transportation regulations and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience as a truck driver is an asset, but not required. Willingness to travel cross-border, overnight, and for extended periods is essential.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel and varying weather conditions.
