Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

IBEX TRUCKS LTD. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods over long distances, following established routes and schedules.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo, using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo, including weight, dimensions, and destination.
  • Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers to coordinate routes and schedules.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking oil and fuel levels, and reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
Requirements:
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:

Long Haul Truck Drivers will work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines. They will be required to spend extended periods on the road, away from home, and may be subject to varying weather conditions.
