About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Nursery Labourer to join our team at Fairfield Tree Nurseries Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the care and maintenance of our tree and plant stock.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crop Care: Clean the crops, cut horticultural crops, tie and secure plants, and assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants.
  • Soil Preparation: Mix and prepare soils, pot and re-pot plants, and transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings.
  • Watering and Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
  • Heavy Lifting: Dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs, and handle heavy loads.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work outdoors in a wet/damp environment, with repetitive tasks and physically demanding conditions.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
