The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bid Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team at Kinectrics. As a Bid Manager, you will be responsible for leading multi-disciplinary technical teams in the preparation of technical estimates, methodologies, and proposals for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement bid plans to deliver high-quality proposals to clients.
- Work with Business Development Directors to gather insights and develop win themes for proposals.
- Collaborate with technical teams to deliver proposals and bottom-up cost estimates.
- Analyze and understand customer requirements.
- Coordinate proposal development teams and ensure timely delivery of proposals.
- Responsible for writing proposals and presenting solutions to senior management.
- Facilitate meetings and status updates with the proposal team.
- Input and update customer relationship management platforms.
- Develop costing and project schedules with input from technical teams.
- Ensure bids are set up in the appropriate costing systems.
- Report on proposal progress to the Accountable Authority and Technical Director.
Requirements:
- Completion of a 4-year university degree in Engineering or Science.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in proposal development and project management.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and preparing quotes and proposals.
- Clear understanding of project management methodologies and commercial processes.
- Articulate and effective communicator with excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
- Experience with scheduling software and customer relationship management platforms.
- Commercial and technical acumen required.
- Experience in the Nuclear Industry is required.
