Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Radiation Technologist to join our Medical Imaging Team. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for performing Computed Tomography imaging procedures in accordance with departmental policies, protocols, and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality CT images to meet departmental standards
  • Provide exceptional patient care for Emergency Department, Unit, and Out Patients
  • Prepare written and electronic reports to document procedures and test results
  • Organize and prioritize workflow to ensure efficient and safe operations
  • Collaborate with patient care units, physicians, external departments, and other imaging modalities
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain medical imaging and ancillary equipment
  • Contribute to teaching, training, educational research, safety, and quality improvement programs
  • Adhere to organizational and departmental policies and procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Perform other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate optimal patient care and cross-functional responsibilities
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved training program in Radiography
  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Knowledge, skills, and judgment as identified in the CMRITO "Essential Competencies" to perform services and procedures within the scope of practice
  • Ability to organize work, set priorities, manage time effectively, and produce accurate results while working autonomously or as a team player
  • Excellent problem recognition and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to service excellence while meeting patient/staff needs efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills
  • Ability to handle stress and conflict management in a professional, effective manner
  • Excellent leadership qualities
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position while working alone
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record required
  • CT training would be an asset
  • IV insertion skills/certificate would be an asset
  • CT Imaging courses would be an asset
