Kitchen Operations Manager

Nanaimo Joe's Enterprise Ltd. is seeking a skilled Kitchen Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of quality and service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and implement efficient kitchen procedures to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including food order summaries and budget estimates.
- Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- 2 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Fast-paced kitchen environment with tight deadlines and high pressure.
- Standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.
- Physically demanding role requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail.
