Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Examiner to join our team at the Government of Alberta. As a Medical Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of death investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with or perform autopsies and surgical specimen examinations under the supervision of pathologists.
  • Remove organs and tissue specimens from bodies in the morgue as directed by the pathologist.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
  • Experience: 5 years or more.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Specialty residency training.
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination.

  • Pathology.
