Restaurant Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Brar's Restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and dishwashers;
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner;
- Train new staff members in job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols;
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and excess stock;
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage;
- Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators;
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless customer service and efficient operations;
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
- 1-2 years of experience in a food service establishment, or equivalent experience;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers;
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently;
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations;
- Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash and credit transactions;
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays;
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high expectations. They must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, and lift heavy objects as required. A combination of sitting, standing, and walking is expected throughout the day.
Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
