Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer Co-op to participate in the design of RAM products and components incorporating the latest technological solutions developed by Product Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Learn a culture of continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing, statistical process control (Six Sigma), and other methodologies, to identify and eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective and preventive actions to address quality or process problems.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and equipment to improve efficiency and reduce machinery downtime, as well as research and implement potential new equipment for manufacturing.
  • Create and maintain process control documentation.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a similar field.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), SolidWorks/Creo or other CAD software.
  • Knowledge of process validation and quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing process development and/or automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using practices such as Lean, D/P FMEA, Design of Experiments, SPC (including Mini-Tab), Kaizen, S, and others.
  • Experience in Cobot/robot, Python programming, and PLC programming.

  • You will develop and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
