About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at The Grocery Store. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of 5-10 staff members, including cooks, kitchen helpers, and other food service personnel.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management as required.
  • Knowledge and Skills
    • Have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and be able to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role, or equivalent experience.
  • Work Environment
    • Noisy work environment.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Efficient interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Team player with a positive attitude.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a 30-40 hour work week. The work language is English.
