Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Shady Tree Neighbourhood Pub. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure timely food preparation and service.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and cost control decisions.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Permanent employment with a minimum of 35 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
Work Environment:

Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of productivity. The successful candidate will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel, and walk frequently.
