Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at McDonald's Restaurant. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service team, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
  • Hire and Manage Staff: Hire and manage food service staff, ensuring that we have a skilled and motivated team in place to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, ensuring that we provide exceptional customer service and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have accurate and up-to-date records to inform our business decisions.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports, providing regular updates on our food service operations and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Food service establishment, restaurant.
  • Tasks: Establish methods to meet work schedules, supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff, train staff, estimate ingredients and supplies, hire food service staff, ensure quality control, address customer complaints, maintain records, prepare and submit reports.
  • Supervision: 5-10 people.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, team player.
  • Government Programs: Recognized employer.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years, permanent position, 40 hours per week, English language.
