About the Role

The YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Asset Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Asset Management function, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management and optimization of our diverse property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management
    • Oversee and optimize the performance of our property portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and maximizing asset value.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage budget, financial forecasts, and capital expenditure plans to ensure fiscal responsibility and profitability.
  • Risk Management
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to property operations, market dynamics, and regulatory compliance to safeguard assets and ensure continuity.
  • Vendor Management
    • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring quality service delivery, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Property Operations
    • Ensure efficient and effective property operations, including maintenance and facility management, to maintain high standards of service and asset integrity.
  • Workplace Safety and Health
    • Implement and oversee workplace safety and health programs, ensuring compliance with legal standards and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Environmental Sustainability and Social Responsibility
    • Promote and manage initiatives related to environmental sustainability and social responsibility, aligning with Y Winnipeg's values and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of building operators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the asset management function.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Post Secondary Education in Business Management, Real Estate Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • 5-10 years of progressive experience in capital & asset management and property operations.
  • Skills
    • Financial management skills, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and capital expenditure planning.
    • Proficient in leadership to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Database Platforms.
  • Certifications
    • Pool Operator Level 1.
    • Emergency First Aid Certificate.
    • Valid Manitoba Class 5F License and access to a vehicle.
