Job Summary

The Next Generations Ministry Director is a key leadership role at City Centre Baptist Church, responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to refine and strengthen the ministry to students and young adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Junior and Senior High Ministry (60%):
    • Develop and teach a curriculum suited to the spiritual needs of students aged 13-18.
    • Lead weekly meetings, conduct worship and social activities, and foster small group development.
    • Design and plan high-impact seasonal events for outreach and spiritual growth.
    • Maintain relationships with church members and adherents with children in this age group.
    • Recruit, train, and disciple lay leaders.
  • College and Careers Ministry (20%):
    • Engage in discipleship and develop a Biblical worldview with young adults.
    • Work with lay leaders to establish vision, ministry goals, and select curriculum for study.
    • Attend weekly meetings, guide planning, and evaluate ministry effectiveness.
    • Encourage connections between the College and Careers Group and the general congregation.
  • General Responsibilities (20%):
    • Share in other duties as required and in consultation with the Senior Associate Pastor.

  • Ability to relate well to youth and young adults.
  • Models an active and growing Christian faith, character, lifestyle, and testimony.
  • Firmly embraces evangelical Baptist theology.
  • Demonstrably gifted in leadership, communications, and interpersonal engagement.
  • Evidences a caring heart for people and a passion for souls.
  • Spiritually mature, a team player, and an accountable servant-leader.
  • Theological accreditation, preferably at the Bible College level.
Working Relationships

The Next Generations Ministry Director will work closely with the Senior Associate Pastor, Pastoral Staff, Office Staff, Board, and Congregation.
