Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Public Security Agent to join our team at the Ville de Côte Saint-Luc. As a Public Security Agent, you will be responsible for enforcing municipal by-laws, patrolling public areas, and responding to resident concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce municipal by-laws related to parking, public nuisance, garbage, and animal control.
  • Issue tickets to violators of by-laws and move or have vehicles moved when contravening a by-law or obstructing traffic circulation.
  • Patrol and inspect municipal buildings and parks to ensure compliance with by-laws.
  • Conduct traffic control and respond to resident concerns, complaints, and requests.
  • Collect evidence and build files for potential legal proceedings.
  • Deliver and pick up mail, run errands, and follow instructions from superiors.
  • Enforce procedures and instructions proposed by superiors and follow up on complaints and security issues.
  • Prepare daily reports and other reports as requested by superiors.
  • Testify in court as required and undertake other related duties.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma – Grade V
  • Security background
  • Bilingualism
  • Driver's licence, Class 4A
  • No criminal record
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions
  • Available for shift work, including weekends
  • Well spoken, diplomatic
