Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at The Salvation Army. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in supporting the organization's strategic objectives by providing expert HR advice and guidance to leaders and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to leaders and employees on HR-related matters, including employment law, labour relations, and workplace investigations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement effective HR processes and procedures.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
  • Provide support and guidance on HR-related matters, including performance management, employee relations, and labour relations.
Requirements
  • University degree in social sciences, human resources, or related field.
  • Completion or working towards completion of valid HR designation (i.e., CPHR).
  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in a human resources generalist role.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable HR legislation and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of human resources information systems; Workday preferred.

  • Demonstrated effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible self-starter with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in problem solving.
  • Ability to take initiative to leverage approaches for effectiveness and efficiency.
