Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Specialist to join our team at Ainsworth Inc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of our facility's infrastructure and support systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

About the Role

This is a full-time position requiring on-site attendance from Monday to Friday (40 hours/week), with overtime as required and after-hours availability for emergencies. Travel requirements include company-provided vehicle use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and problem-solve equipment and system matters to ensure reliability and optimal use.
  • Respond to service requests promptly and professionally.
  • Prioritize, self-perform, and triage work orders to complete scheduled and unscheduled demand service work.
  • Communicate daily with clients to optimize tenant response and escalate where required.
  • Ensure successful completion of work orders and other requests.
  • Operation of the Building Automation System (BAS) based on-site systems and conditions.
  • Complete assigned preventive maintenance-repair tasks, service requests, work orders, and respond to emergencies.
  • Document service work performed and follow up when additional information is required.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, utility, and other suppliers.
  • Adhere to all company and client policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A valid 4th or 5th Class Power Engineer's Certificate, with relevant experience in a related environment including knowledge of HVAC, building control systems (pneumatic), plumbing, mechanical, electrical, life safety systems/fire suppression, and related equipment and systems.
  • Ability to provide hands-on services to equipment and systems within the role and skillsets of a building operator.
  • Proficient computer/cell phone skills appropriate to the role (Word, Excel, email, BAS, CMMS).
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
  • A systematic and organized approach to multi-tasking.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Good communication skills and working knowledge of the English language (both written and oral).
Estimated Salary

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
