Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager, Assurance to join our team in St. Catharines. As a key member of our Assurance team, you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and amending engagement documents, including working papers, financial statements, and tax returns;
- Providing constructive feedback and guidance to staff on engagement files;
- Engaging in business development and networking opportunities with clients and referral sources;
- Attending client meetings and contributing to discussions;
- Identifying planning opportunities for clients;
- Ensuring all queries and outstanding points are resolved satisfactorily;
- Assisting with client billing and delegating tasks to junior staff members;
- Coaching and developing staff through performance evaluations and support.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A graduate degree in accounting or equivalent;
- A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation;
- 2-5 years of post-designation experience in a public accounting firm;
- Experience in an oversight role, with a thorough understanding of GAAP/GAAS, ASPE, CAS, and CIS, as well as Canadian taxation.
