Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Assurance to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading assurance engagements, providing guidance and direction to staff, and identifying opportunities for clients to improve their financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead assurance engagements, including review and compilation of financial statements and working papers
  • Provide guidance and direction to staff on assurance engagements
  • Identify opportunities for clients to improve their financial performance
  • Develop and implement plans to address client needs and improve financial performance
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure successful completion of assurance engagements
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations

Requirements

  • Graduate of a University Accounting Program or equivalent
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation
  • 2-5 years post-designation experience in a public accounting firm
  • Experience in an oversight role
  • Thorough understanding and experience with GAAP/GAAS, ASPE, CAS, and CIS, and Canadian Taxation
