Job Title: Registered Pharmacy Technician

Safeway Canada is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations.

Job Summary:

The Registered Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for preparing, processing, and compounding prescriptions, as well as ensuring the accuracy of patient records. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process prescriptions, including receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners
  • Ensure the accuracy of patient records and drug information
  • Perform final checks on prepared prescriptions
  • Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
  • Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Above average oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Sobeys National Pharmacy Group Computer systems preferred
  • Relevant post-secondary education preferred
