Nurse Practitioner Role

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive clinical care to patients in a designated service or program area. You will work autonomously to diagnose, order, and interpret laboratory tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals, and perform procedures. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing direct care and partnering with other members of the healthcare team to achieve the most appropriate and timely care for patients.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients in a designated service or program area
- Work autonomously to diagnose, order, and interpret laboratory tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals, and perform procedures
- Partner with other members of the healthcare team to achieve the most appropriate and timely care for patients
- Develop and implement holistic care plans that address the physical, biologic, psychologic, and spiritual needs of patients
- Collaborate with family, community, and other agencies/services to provide comprehensive care
- Masters' of Nursing – Advanced Nursing Practice stream
- Registered with the Nova Scotia College Nurses with active-practicing status, with a license to practice as an NP in Nova Scotia or eligible for registration
- Current certification in BCLS or willing to obtain
