Capital Planning Analyst Role

This position is part of the Capital Planning Team and requires strong analytical support focusing on capital planning. The successful candidate will have excellent data analysis and interpretation skills, as well as a strong commitment to data integrity.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Execute capital plan deliverables and maintain ongoing changes to the capital plan and budgets
  • Triage and track project requests from clients, facility management, and project management teams
  • Identify and create projects from building condition assessment data, recommending accurate scopes of work, justifications, and high-level estimates
  • Evaluate cost estimates for cyclical maintenance, replacement, and repair of building components and systems, gathering information from previous tenders, projects, and consulting reports
  • Integrate with other data sources, such as roof inspection data
Data Analysis
  • Ensure data integrity of capital planning data within information management systems, including BGIS's proprietary systems
  • Compile and maintain large volumes of capital planning data within information management systems to support various reporting, benchmarking, and analytical requirements
  • Execute ad-hoc calculations and analysis based on client requests to support business communication and decision-making
Strategic Asset Management Support
  • Assist the Capital Planning Manager in Strategic Asset Management, including production and maintenance of the Multi-Year Capital Plan and Annual Capital Plan
  • Conduct integrated working sessions with other work streams, maintaining the Asset Management Dashboard and supporting the delivery of capital plans to meet KPIs and contract deliverables
  • Collaborate in process improvement initiatives and implement new processes, training field personnel and system users in business tools, processes, and procedures
