As a key member of our team at Aspira Hunter Village Retirement Living, the Resident Engagement Manager plays a vital role in creating a dynamic culture that promotes resident wellbeing, choice, and engagement.

The successful candidate will oversee The Market, identifying ways to better serve residents' needs, and will be responsible for developing and leading a team that delivers exceptional resident experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing programs that promote resident wellbeing and engagement
  • Overseeing The Market and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Leading a team of staff to deliver exceptional resident experiences
  • Collaborating with local organizations and vendors to support resident engagement and wellbeing
  • Supporting the General Manager in the organization and taking minutes for Town Halls and Resident Council meetings
  • Developing the monthly community calendar of events and newsletter

Requirements include:

  • A degree in Gerontology, Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure Studies, Health Promotion, or Health Sciences
  • Minimum of one year of experience programming for seniors in senior living independent living, assisted living, or in a senior's community center environment or similar setting
  • Minimum of one year of management and supervisory experience
  • Valid driver's license and/or special-class license to drive a van/bus (or willingness and ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment)
  • Current certificate in CPR and First Aid
