We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Hashtag India Restaurant. As a key member of our restaurant operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our food service staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff: Lead and motivate a team of food service staff, including food service counter attendants, food preparers, kitchen and food service helpers, and cashiers.
- Train and Develop Staff: Provide on-the-job training and coaching to staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Manage Food Quality and Safety: Ensure that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards of quality and safety, and that all food handling and preparation procedures are followed.
- Maintain Records and Reports: Keep accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and to meet the needs of the restaurant.
- Address Customer Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints and concerns, and take steps to resolve issues.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Client Focus: Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that customer needs are met.
- Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent Oral Communication: Communicate effectively and professionally with staff, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Flexibility: Adapt to changing circumstances and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Work collaboratively with staff and other stakeholders to achieve common goals.
