Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team at the Commission scolaire Central Québec / Central Québec School Board. As a Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, adapting to the diverse needs of students.
  • Encourage a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting academic excellence and social growth.
  • Monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, providing updates on student performance and progress.
  • Contribute to the development of extracurricular activities and events, fostering a sense of community and school spirit.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide targeted support and mentorship to students.
  • Coordinate extracurricular activities and workshops to enrich the learning experience.
  • Provide individualized academic support and guidance.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students under your care.
  • Report student progress and results to administrators and parents, adhering to established protocols.
  • Manage attendance and tardiness, participating in professional development meetings to enhance teaching practices.
  • Perform various pedagogical duties to enhance the educational experience.
  • Hold a valid teaching certification issued by the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur (MEQ) or be in the process of obtaining it.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, as well as a strong understanding of French.
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to educating students.
  • Be adaptable to the unique needs of each student.
  • Develop effective teaching methods that respect diverse learning levels and abilities.
  • Stay current with the latest educational trends and research.
  • Be able to adjust lesson plans as needed and be flexible in lesson planning.
  • Apply conflict resolution strategies in classroom management.
  • Maintain student motivation to reach their full potential.
  • Show a keen interest in participating in initiatives that contribute to the development of the school or team projects.
  • Prior relevant experience is an asset.
