Job Summary:
The Culinary Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchens, ensuring seamless food service delivery and maintaining the highest quality standards. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be expected to lead by example, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Banquet Chef/Chef de Cuisine in supervising kitchen staff, ensuring efficient operation and adherence to hotel standards.
- Maintain high-quality food preparation, presentation, and safety standards throughout all kitchen areas.
- Ensure proper inventory management, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels.
- Develop and implement effective training programs for kitchen staff, promoting skill development and career advancement.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide exceptional guest experiences, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly and professionally.
- Foster open communication among team members, encouraging constructive feedback and ideas for improvement.
- Monitor and control labor costs, adhering to hotel budgets and policies.
Requirements:
- A minimum of three to five years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fine dining or banqueting environment.
- Canadian Red Seal Certification or Journeyman Ticket, with up-to-date Food Safe certification.
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, ingredients, and menu planning.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Proven track record of improving efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction in previous roles.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing situations and priorities.
