Job Summary:

The Culinary Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchens, ensuring seamless food service delivery and maintaining the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Banquet Chef/Chef de Cuisine in supervising kitchen staff, ensuring efficient operation and adherence to hotel standards.
  2. Maintain high-quality food preparation, presentation, and safety standards throughout all kitchen areas.
  3. Ensure proper inventory management, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels.
  4. Develop and implement effective training programs for kitchen staff, promoting skill development and career advancement.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to provide exceptional guest experiences, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly and professionally.
  6. Foster open communication among team members, encouraging constructive feedback and ideas for improvement.
  7. Monitor and control labor costs, adhering to hotel budgets and policies.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of three to five years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fine dining or banqueting environment.
  2. Canadian Red Seal Certification or Journeyman Ticket, with up-to-date Food Safe certification.
  3. Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, ingredients, and menu planning.
  4. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  5. Proven track record of improving efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction in previous roles.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing situations and priorities.
