About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Superintendent to join our team at Homes by Avi. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective construction of homes in your community while maintaining established production schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Site Superintendents with site management, adherence to safety protocols, and site cleanliness for all home sites in your assigned area.
  • Perform small deficiency repairs, assist with quality control checklists, and schedule deficiency repairs with trades and follow up to ensure work is complete and done to quality standards prior to occupancy.
  • Responsible for ensuring sites are ready for the next scheduled trade.
  • Completing labour-intensive tasks required to maintain safe site access, including snow removal, pressure washing, and debris clean-up.
  • Foster effective trade and supplier relationships.
  • Manage customer expectations and liaise with the Sales and Customer Relations teams to address concerns during the home building process.
  • Efficiently complete all tasks as assigned by the Site Superintendent or the Construction Manager.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • An excellent understanding of residential construction practices and light carpentry.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks seamlessly and work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A self-motivated and detail-oriented approach to work.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment and foster effective relationships with trades and suppliers.
