Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual to fill the role of General Laborer / Maintenance Technician at our 9 McDonald's restaurants located on Montreal's South Shore.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Assist with carpentry, painting, and other general construction tasks to maintain the appearance and integrity of our facilities.
  • Perform minor renovations and installations as required to meet the needs of our restaurants.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and prevent malfunctions, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operations and achieve common goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and techniques to remain ahead of the curve and provide innovative solutions.
  • Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, and other systems to resolve issues efficiently.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role, such as general laborer, maintenance technician, or construction worker.
  • Strong construction and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work at heights and lift heavy loads.
  • Experience with power tools and hand tools, including bill press, circular saw, and hammer.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively, with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving results.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and air-conditioning systems, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to travel easily to our 9 restaurants on Montreal's South Shore.
Assets
  • Experience in carpentry, welding, or other specialized trades.
  • Certifications in construction or first aid.
  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
  • Own a car.
Schedule
  • Part-time, with the possibility of full-time.
  • Monday to Sunday.
Compensation
  • $25/hour.
