Job Title: Community and Social Services Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community and Social Services Worker to join our team at Strive Living West Kelowna. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.

Work Environment

Our work site environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with a focus on providing personalized support to clients. You will work in a group home setting, interacting with clients and their families to understand their unique needs and develop tailored support plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and office support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Assess clients' needs and eligibility for specific services, working closely with other social services agencies and healthcare providers
  • Implement behavior management programs and provide support to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, promoting independence and community integration
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualized support plans
Requirements
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology, or a related field)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a group home or residential setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing high-quality support to clients
