Job Title: Community and Social Services Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Community and Social Services Worker to join our team at Strive Living West Kelowna. As a Community and Social Services Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families in our community, providing guidance, and connecting them with resources and services.

Work Environment

Our team works in a variety of settings, including group homes, community centers, and private residences. You will be working with culturally diverse groups, including females and males, and will be required to have excellent interpersonal skills, judgment, and client focus.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support and guidance to individuals and families in our community
  • Connect clients with resources and services, including social services agencies and healthcare providers
  • Assist clients with special needs, including accompanying them to appointments and social outings
  • Implement behavior management programs and provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Collaborate with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and judgment
