Wound Ostomy Educator Professional

About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled Wound, Ostomy and Continence Care Educator to join our team at Providence Health Care.
The successful candidate will provide consultative services to healthcare professionals for clients with complex wound/ostomy care needs by conducting skin/wound/ostomy examinations, interviewing, reviewing charts and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication and teaching abilities, as well as a passion for providing high-quality patient care. As an educator, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational programs within the clinical area, in collaboration with the Chief of Professional Practice and Nursing and the Clinical Nurse Specialist for Wound Care and other nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consultative services to healthcare professionals for clients with complex wound/ostomy care needs
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational programs within the clinical area
- Develop tools to evaluate the effectiveness of resources and educational programs
- Demonstrate and promote expertise and provides leadership in nursing practice
- Provide direct care to clients with wound/ostomy care needs

Salary: $83,115 - $106,855 per year (based on experience)
