Kobe Microgreens and Greenhouses Ltd. is seeking a skilled Greenhouse Labourer to join our team.
Job Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented and physically fit individual to assist in the daily operations of our greenhouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, ensuring the health and well-being of our crops, and contributing to the overall success of our microgreens and greenhouse production.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including greenhouse cleaning and waste management.
- Assist in the cultivation and care of microgreens and other crops, including watering, pruning, and harvesting.
- Monitor and control climate conditions, including temperature, humidity, and light levels.
- Perform tasks related to crop maintenance, including weeding, fertilizing, and pest control.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of soil, including mixing and applying fertilizers and other amendments.
- Operate and maintain greenhouse equipment, including irrigation systems and climate control systems.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals and ensure a smooth operation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a greenhouse or agricultural setting preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
The Greenhouse Labourer will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with exposure to various weather conditions. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
