About the Role

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a skilled Environmental Advisor to join our team. As an Environmental Advisor, you will be responsible for providing strategic environmental direction and delivering technical and consultative services on environmental related matters for power generation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, implement, monitor, and improve performance of environmental managed systems and programs.
  • Implement and manage the EMS programs at the Generating Units, and monitor and report on compliance and performance against the established EMS programs.
  • Provide expertise and support to the Generating Units and Functions in managing OPG's environmental performance.
  • Liaise and negotiate with local regulatory agencies to obtain and influence conditions of routine permits and approvals.

Requirements

  • 4-year university degree, Engineering, Environmental Science, or Environmental Studies.
  • 6-8 years relevant work experience providing support in environmental engineering, environmental studies, and environmental planning and approvals preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a flexible hybrid office environment.
