Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Reporting Manager to join our team at Queen's University. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating daily operations, planning and controlling budget and expenditures, and overseeing the collection and analysis of financial data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize efficiency.
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the collection and analysis of financial data to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, including senior management and the university's governing board.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as accounting or finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong background in budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including budgeting and forecasting tools.
