We are seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to oversee the daily operations of our trucking company. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for managing finances, arranging shipping documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Managing finances or budget, ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services.
  2. Arranging for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit.
  3. Ensuring transport compliance with regulations, maintaining a safe and efficient transportation network.
  4. Establishing and implementing policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
  5. Negotiating for services and preferential rates, optimizing our transportation costs.
  6. Overseeing the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods, ensuring timely delivery.
  7. Overseeing the setting of transportation service rates and monitoring revenue, driving business growth.
  8. Organizing and maintaining inventory, streamlining our supply chain.
  9. Recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption, analyzing data to improve efficiency.
  10. Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating daily operations, leading a high-performing team.
Work Environment:

You will be working in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
