Job Title: Business Consultant

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Business Consultant to assist with leading the development of a holistic strategy and approach for implementing changes related to planning and budgeting in alignment with the organization's policies, procedures, cultures, and norms.

Key Responsibilities:

Work directly with Planning and Budgeting project team, 1GX staff and key partners to develop and implement a change management strategy

Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy for the Planning and Budgeting project

Collaborate with the 1GX training team to ensure that the training strategy is aligned with the change management strategy

Participate in various project activities such as design sessions, test script reviews, User Acceptance Testing to gain additional knowledge on potential areas of change resistance or identify areas of additional focus for change activities

Develop, implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to understand adoption rates and make recommendations on adjustments to the change management activities that may be required

Develop and present engaging presentations for a variety of stakeholders across all levels of government with wide-ranging knowledge of the budgeting process

Qualifications:

MANDATORY Qualifications:

M2PROSCI or CCMP certification

Work Experience

M310 years - Experience conducting change impact analysis.

M410 years Experience developing and delivering communications and presentations at multiple levels of an organization.

M55 years- Experience developing and delivering training materials.

M610 years - Experience in a change management role - applying change management principles, methodologies, and tools for implementing change programs

M75 years - Experience with business writing, communication and documentation.

M810 years - Experience working with change management, policy changes, staffing changes, or other organizational change as part of service transformation and implementation.

M910 years - Experience providing strategic advice related to organizational structure, roles, and skillsets required to ensure successful delivery of public sector outcomes

Desirable Qualifications:

N1Ability to learn quickly, problem solve, troubleshoot, work independently and as part of a team.

N2Ability to manage stress and conflict.

N3Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.

N4The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, management and vendors.

Work Experience:

N510 years - Experience creating flowcharts/diagrams/analyses, including but not limited to activity, process flow, data flow, entity relationship, mind map, roadmap/plan, gap analysis, organizational chart, SWOT analysis, RACI matrix, UI wireframes, user personas/journey maps.

N610 years - Experience developing change management deliverables including Change Strategy and Plans, Training Strategy and Plans, Stakeholder Impact Assessments, Communication Strategy and Plans.

N710 years - Experience in managing projects in an organization of comparable size and complexity to the GoA

N810 years - Experience leading an organization through a large scale technology change impacting all levels of the organization.

N910 years - Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to plan and design creative solutions.

N103 years - Experience with business plans, mandates, strategic priorities, objectives and/or programs of 1GX.

N1110 years - Experience with written and verbal communications including specific experience in drafting strategic business and technical documentation.
