The Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine invites applications for three full-time clinical academic positions within its esteemed Department of Family Medicine.
About the Role
As a Clinician Teacher, you will be part of an innovative and exciting team that aims to transform healthcare and optimize the well-being of patients and communities. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based care for athletes and individuals with sports-related injuries or conditions at the Fowler Kennedy Clinic.
- Provide specialized medical care to athletes and individuals with sports-related injuries or conditions
- Offer comprehensive primary care to the student health population at our Fanshawe College location
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans based on evidence-based care
- Contribute to ongoing research and education initiatives in the field of sport and exercise medicine
About the Department
The Department of Family Medicine is an academic leader of family medicine in Canada. Our mission is to train and inspire the next generation of Family Physician clinicians, researchers, educators, and leaders.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must hold an MD, or equivalent, with certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada, including a Certificate of Added Competence (or equivalent) in Sport and Exercise Medicine. A relevant master's degree or interest in pursuing a Master in Clinical Science (Family Medicine) or medical education is preferred.
Candidates must have experience and interest in teaching, as well as fluent written and oral communication skills in English.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience and will be composed primarily of clinical income from the Ontario Health Insurance Plan, academic alternate funding, and/or other academic support.
The estimated salary for this position is $200,000 - $300,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
