Histology Department Manager

At Dynacare, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Histology to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory operations, you will be responsible for managing the Histology Department and leading a team of professionals to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage laboratory operations and people leadership of the Histology Department
- Collaborate with the Director, Pathology Operations and Scientific Directors to foster a culture of safety, quality, and customer service
- Lead and engage a diverse team to achieve high performance and employee engagement
- Develop and implement departmental procedures, policies, and standards
- Manage compliance requirements and ensure quality control programs are in place
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer needs are addressed
- Responsible for business planning, goal development, and scheduling for the department
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in a healthcare-related field
- Certified Medical Laboratory Technologist preferred
- 3-5 years of leadership experience
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to foster relationships across all levels of the organization
- Experience in planning, preparing, and devising work schedules
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
