Job Title: Biological Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biological Scientist to join our team at the University Health Network (UHN). As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for leading and managing research projects, supervising laboratory technical personnel, and collaborating with other scientists and professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise laboratory technical personnel, medical clinical personnel, graduate students, research scientists, and other professionals.
  • Supervise biological technologists and technicians and other scientists.
  • Produce reports and prepare research papers, educational texts, or articles.
  • Recruit and hire staff, prepare funding and grant applications, and locate funding for projects.
  • Conduct interviews, deliver presentations, and offer mentoring.
Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in research and laboratory management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
