Job Title: Category Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Category Manager to join our Purchasing team at Jobs for Humanity. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for the Overhead and Workspace category, working under the direction of the Associate Director. Your primary goal will be to develop and deploy a category strategy, vision, and action plan in collaboration with other buyers in the same category.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a robust category strategy aligned with internal customer needs and corporate cost reduction objectives.
- Analyze, identify, maintain, and develop relationships with key suppliers, while establishing new strategic partnerships.
- Ensure strict compliance with contractual terms and conditions, with the ability to identify and address any deviations.
- Closely monitor industry trends, technological advances, and the competitive marketplace to make informed decisions and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Collaborate with various departments, such as the project management office, internal customer, finance, and legal departments, to ensure seamless execution of purchasing projects on the roadmap.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and success of initiatives in place.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in procurement in a senior role.
- Strong negotiation, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with ability to take initiative.
- Data-driven.
- Ability to make decisions based on facts and to defend one's point of view with logical arguments.
- In-depth knowledge of S2C and P2P processes (expert).
- University degree or equivalent (business administration, procurement, logistics, or other relevant discipline) complemented by a successful track record.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and French.
