Job Summary

The Cash Manager is a key role within the store, responsible for overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the Cash Department. This position requires a strong leader who can motivate and guide the cashiers to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve store objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Guidance
    • Lead by example and ensure that cashiers demonstrate the company's values and standards
    • Interview and recommend candidates for hiring cashiers
    • Ensure cashiers comply with all store standards and policies
  • Scheduling and Training
    • Schedule cashiers' hours, days off, and vacations within established guidelines
    • Train employees in job functions and provide ongoing coaching and instructions
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure exceptional customer service is provided beyond expectation
    • Ensure employees present a proper image to the public in accordance with the uniform policy
    • Promote all company initiatives, including PC Optimum and fundraising
  • Financial Management
    • Perform clerical and banking duties
    • Assist with all coin orders and resolve discrepancies
    • Maintain the cash office and safe in accordance with store standards
  • Loss Prevention
    • Ensure all loss prevention systems and procedures are performed according to standards
    • Ensure procedures regarding parcel checks are adhered to
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • Planning, judgement, and decision-making skills
    • Independent thinking and decision-making when dealing with customer requests
  • Experience
    • Supervisory and labor management experience
    • Experience with retail/grocery and cash handling
    • Superior interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

The Cash Manager will work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, to ensure the smooth operation of the store.
