Job Title: Sales Manager
Job Summary:
Merrithew Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all current Reseller/Distributor sales and direct sales activities in Latin America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed annual set sales quotas
- Promote/negotiate/sell/secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based, consultative sales approach
- Respond with a sense of urgency to customer and prospect inquiries and prepare written presentations and price quotes
- Review and have a comprehensive understanding of largest customers and partnerships
- Have a comprehensive understanding of current Reseller and Distributor partners and be able to articulate to the team their business, unique account-specific sales opportunities, how they communicate with their customers
- Be able to find and recommend any cross-channel sales opportunities with existing key partners
- Visit our direct accounts and Reseller/Distributor partners, where appropriate, to train their staff, pitch customers and strategize on new Business Development opportunities
- Work with and assist the Senior Sales Manager, The Americas to facilitate the on-boarding of new Reseller/Distributor partners
- Work with the Senior Sales Manager, The Americas and the Marketing team to ensure that marketing efforts are aligned, regionally with local opportunities
- Notify partners of all new releases, price increases and discontinued items, with Sales Coordinator support
- Develop comprehensive product knowledge of all lines of business to identify competitive features and benefits and favorably present Company products and services
- Review partner websites with sales coordinator to ensure Marcom guidelines are followed
- Research mind, body and fitness industry; new products, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities and other trends
- Report to Management on customer needs, technical issues, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
Requirements:
- At least 5 years' experience in a Business Development and/or Account Management role
- Must be able to speak English, Spanish. Portuguese is a plus
- Able to work independently with a proven track record in driving measurable results and exceeding sales targets
- Must use company CRM tools and keep exceptional notes and sales funnel management
- Strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize and articulate highest impact initiatives for business development
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Able and willing to travel internationally and domestically as required for the position
- Superior problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and presentation proficiency
- Use of Social Media as a sales tool to win, retain and service customers is essential
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), both in articulating his/her ideas and gathering input from key stakeholders
- Sales experience in the fitness industry a requirement
