About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Processing Assistant to join our team at Fat Kee Fresh Meat Calgary Ltd. As a key member of our butcher shop team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare meats for processing and cutting
  • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat to meet customer demands
  • Wrap and package prepared meats for sale
  • Remove bones from meat to enhance product quality
  • Weigh meats accurately for sale
  • Cut poultry into parts to meet customer needs
Work Environment

As a Meat Processing Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced butcher shop environment, standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads. You will also be required to work with slicing machines and other equipment to ensure efficient meat processing.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train on the job
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods
