Overnight First Cook

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Overnight First Cook to join our culinary team at Fairmont Chateau Whistler. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items for our guests, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook food items according to hotel recipes and standards
- Organize and manage buffets and banquets, ensuring timely and efficient service
- Monitor kitchen operations, maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Train and supervise junior staff in food preparation and handling
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the culinary field
- Journeyman's papers or international equivalent an asset
- Diploma/Certification in a Culinary discipline required
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50+ lbs
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
