About the Role

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team in the Autism Research Centre. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, and engineers to develop innovative algorithms that improve our understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions and contribute to the development of technology-based supports for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform data analyses for clinical research studies, including cleaning and aggregating large datasets, visualizing data, statistical analysis, signal processing, and machine learning.
  • Author manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Contribute to writing and submitting grant applications.
  • Support the training and supervision of research students.
  • Manage multiple ongoing projects.
  • Maintain the privacy and security of data being analyzed by following hospital best practices and procedures.
Requirements
  • Recent PhD in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Track record of academic publications.
  • Expertise with statistics, data visualization, and machine learning methods.
  • Proficiency with Python and/or R, specifically related to statistics and machine learning.
  • Experience analyzing clinical research data, such as clinical assessments, survey data, or neuroimaging data.
  • Experience communicating research results, including written and oral presentations.
